Licenced paralegal Kara Muzzell approached Avenue A to help launch her new business with a strong brand identity. After the conclusion of her former business partnership, Kara needed a new name, logo, branding package, signage and website.
We held a discovery meeting with Kara’s team, which revealed they wanted her new business to project a clean, strong, and professional image. Kara wanted to take advantage of her established reputation as a paralegal, as well as ensure that her company would be easy to find online. She wanted her new name to have longevity for the future, should her team grow beyond paralegal work.
Our team presented the name “Muzzell Legal Services.” The name addressed her current business model while allowing for the possibility of growing beyond paralegal work in the future. The name is a clear and concise description of her business and by placing her name up-front; it also provides instant recognition and association with her strong and solid reputation. Kara agreed, and we began designing logos for her that exemplified a modern legal team.
Logo & Brand Guide:
We presented Kara with a number of logo options, but she was ultimately drawn to a scholarly serif font with an underscored, capital “M” in a shade of green that she requested. With the new logo approved, we developed a brand guide to ensure her image would remain consistent in every medium, no matter which member of her team was using it.
With the site nearly complete, Kara also needed to update her physical signage. We worked with Sign Street to create a large version of her new logo and installed it on an existing glass panel at the Muzzell office. The new sign was vibrant and striking.
In developing her new website, Kara agreed that a modern, easy-to-navigate design that works well on desktop and mobile devices was the best path forward. Our web designer carefully crafted a layout that complimented Kara’s vision. Content was developed by our writers that ensured every page was properly optimized for strong search engine rankings. New photos of Kara’s team and workspace were taken and the fresh imagery was added to the website. Kara enthusiastically approved her new website and its content.
